After a grim prophecy foretells one man’s rise to power, he is faced with the dark course of making it come true. But what are the consequences of bloodshed, and once we commit our sins, can we ever escape them? Shakespeare’s psychological horror story takes place in a country at war with itself, where a great wrong buried deep in the earth is ever threatening to rise to the surface.
This multi-media rendition of Macbeth, remotely devised by seven teen artists, examines the violent and disturbing ways in which we attempt to fulfill or defy our fates, as well as the bloody legacies we inherit and those we pass on to the generations to come.
